Meetings & Conferences

Very few gathering places will give you the kind of natural, tranquil beauty that La Grange de la Gatineau can offer. Impress your group with this unique site full of geological and historical significance within the Gatineau region and its French and Irish roots. La Grange is an authentic log barn that was converted into a private home (read its fascinating story here). It houses many unique pieces of Canadiana as well as antique furniture, as well as 19th-century tools and books. Over the years, its original owners received many special guests and diplomats for numerous grand or modest occasions. Today, La Grange offers friendly, impeccable service and a perfect ambiance to groups who seek a special location for productive and enjoyable gatherings. Situated only 20 minutes from downtown Ottawa, La Grange is just far enough to be a million miles from the bustle of the city and close enough to return at the end of the day.

Whether you are planning an executive retreat or a training session, you will find that La Grange's facilities and surroundings will perfectly meet your business needs. Surrounded by forest and right on the river shore, the property is private and secluded. Its lawn is large enough to accommodate discussions or a casual cocktail. Indoors, you will find the natural décor of the Grange's log architecture elegant and comfortable. Celebrate your achievements with an end-of-day drink in front of the wood-burning fireplace and see your party relax after a day of productive brainstorming.

Take a break to relax and do some professional bonding. Working with our colleagues at C'est Bon Cooking, we offer wonderful team-building cuisine sessions - putting groups of up to a dozen to work on a culinary creation in our fully equipped kitchen. Or plan for soccer, baseball or other games on our lawn or in the adjacent Parc Mary Anne Phillips, which is a beautifully maintained soccer field with views over the river. You can also enjoy a swim or some boating on our private beach or arrange a guided walk through the woods to see the other log buildings on the site and the camera obscura on the heights overlooking the Parliament Buildings.

Team-Building & Social Activities

Our Executive Chef offers creative menus served to perfection. Preferred fare for lunchtime is our Country Lunch Buffet. For lunch or dinner, we cater to every taste and budget, whether it is méchoui or barbecue for a casual country atmosphere, or the finest French cuisine, all brought to you ready for savouring by our accomplished servers.

Special Dining

La Grange de la Gatineau specializes in elegant, high-end dinners - for your Board of Directors or a visiting group. Dinners can be served in the Great Hall or outside on the lawn. Our gourmet chef will offer the menu and presentation to impress the most discerning guests.
