Just a few steps away from La Grange de la Gatineau is a beautiful Victorian-era log house. Set in a tranquil woodland setting along the banks of the Gatineau River is Le Chalet Buckhouse. The salon and dining room are perfect to relax with a book or chat with other guests. In the morning, a wholesome breakfast is served to our guests in our charming dining room. Coffee and tea are available at all times, and guests are welcome to use the kitchen for light food preparation. Buckhouse can accomodate up to twelve guests. Visitors can chose from one of our five rooms: Jessie, Marguerite, Charlotte, Ida or the Gladys Suite.
The Jessie was the charming original master bedroom of Le Chalet Buckhouse. It is found on the upper level of the building. With its sloping ceilings, this jewel of a room offers a lovely view of the forest over the treetops. Recently renovated, it contains its own en suite bathroom.
The Marguerite is a lovely spacious room with a high ceiling and features the original log wall as well as pine paneling. This room also offers a private access to a large balcony overlooking the flower gardens. Its own private bathroom is found just a few steps across the hall.
One of two charming, gabled adjacent twin bedded rooms sharing a full bathroom in the hallway. The twin beds can be joined to make a king bed by advance request. The full bathroom with lots of natural light has a full bathtub/shower, toilet and sink. This bathroom is for exclusive use of these 2 rooms.
