Grange sun room The Grange comprises The Great Hall, The Mezzanine, six smaller meeting rooms, lawns and other grounds available for outdoor events. Below is a description of the main facilities. Please visit our Photo Gallery for a complete tour of The Grange.

THE GREAT HALL

The centrepiece of the Grange, the Great Hall, can be adapted for meetings, weddings and all social and professional events:

THE MEZZANINE

A balcony overlooking the Great Hall, the Mezzanine is used for elegant meals around an antique dining table for up to twelve guests. Gourmet dinners or lunches for your executive or board, or for any smaller group, can be served in this charming niche under the rafters by our chef and team of professional servers. Aperitifs can be served on the lawn or in the Conservatory and coffee can be taken in the Great Hall, overlooking the river or around the fireplace. SMALLER MEETING ROOMS

For breakout sessions or smaller meetings, each room is of a different size and character, with period furnishings and equipped with flip charts and other meeting requirements.

THE MUSEUM AND GAMES ROOM

Grange museum rocks Hewn into the bedrock of the Canadian Shield below the Grange is a museum of heritage Canadian tools and household objects that would have been used in the 19th Century on the farms and houses of the early settlers of Canada. Our guests are free to browse and try to guess the purpose of some of the stranger implements… before you look it up in the catalogue. A regulation Billiards Table and Ping-Pong table are in the Games Room, along with Darts, Checkers, Crokinole and card games. (Not available for all events). OUTDOOR FACILITIES

Grange outdoors beach chairs The flower-trimmed lawn overlooking the Gatineau River provides the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding, meeting, reception or party. Full meal service for up to 200 people can be provided in a Grand Marquee on the river bank a few steps away from the Grange.

ACCOMODATIONS

Grange guest book Cliff House, a self-contained rustic chalet with all modern amenities, is situated beside the Grange, overlooking the beach and river. It is ideal for use by wedding couples or meeting facilitators. Cliff House can be reserved for up to four people on a nightly or weekly basis. The Grange de la Gatineau does not provide hotel accommodation on-site, but our guests will be offered preferential rates at the Hotel Indigo, a boutique hotel in a beautifully renovated 19th century building in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Transportation We are delighted to assist our guests with arrangements for buses and shuttlebuses as well as taxis to and from the Ottawa-Gatineau-Hull area. It is a short drive to the Grange de la Gatineau, but travelling together in groups can add to the fun and relaxation of your event and help protect the environment.
